This Privacy Policy explains how ScoutZone ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Data we collect

• Email — when you sign in with Apple or Google.
• Display name / username — from your Apple or Google profile.
• Profile photo (optional) — if provided at sign-in.
• Favorites — players you save.
• Messages — content and metadata needed to deliver in-app messaging.
• Push notification token (FCM/APNs).
• Device language — for localization.
• Subscription status — membership tier after valid Apple purchase (we do not receive payment card details).

We do not sell personal data. We do not request contacts, photo library, precise location or health data for core features.

2. Login & authentication

• Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)
• Google Sign-In (Google LLC)

No email/password registration. We never receive your Apple or Google password. Sessions are validated via Firebase Authentication (Google).

3. How we use your data

To operate the app (search, favorites, messaging, notifications, membership), localize content, verify subscriptions, maintain security, prevent abuse and comply with law.

4. Analytics & crash reporting

ScoutZone does not currently use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics or advertising/behavioral analytics SDKs. We do not use cross-app tracking for ads. If we add such tools later, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

5. AI scores & evaluations

Player scores, ratings and AI-assisted evaluations are generated from third-party football data using statistical and machine-learning methods. They are for general information and entertainment only. They are not professional scouting, transfer, investment or betting advice and do not guarantee any transfer or sporting outcome. We are not responsible for decisions based on these outputs or errors in source data.

• Third-party news sources — aggregated player news

We do not use RevenueCat; subscriptions use Apple StoreKit directly. We do not control third-party football or news data.

7. Security

HTTPS/TLS in transit. Server access requires valid session tokens. Reasonable safeguards applied; no method is 100% secure.

8. Messaging & user content

Messages stored for delivery. Zero tolerance for abuse. Block and report tools available.

9. Data retention & deletion

Profile → Delete Account. Soft delete 30 days; then permanent removal from active systems (limited backup retention for legal/security).

10. Children

Not directed to children under applicable minimum age.

11. International transfers

Data may be processed where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards where required.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes shown with a new "Last updated" date.
